A deputy Director of communications for Dr. Bawumia’s Campaign team, Lawyer Adomako Baafi, has opined that, certain attitudes of some government appointees, is driving away members of the party.
He explains that these appointees, who claim they are always busy and thus, are not ready for any party duty, and yet do not equally give ears to party members is an attitude they need to desist from, as it brings apathy.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on the defect of Six Thousand sympathizers of Alan Kyeremanten’s Movement for Change, back to NPP, Lawyer Adomako Baafi indicated that they should quickly be reinstated without any second thought.
“It’s the love and hope they have for the party that has necessitated their action to defect to the party. They shouldn’t be mocked. We need the numbers to win the election. In politics, multitudes are better than little so it’s good to have them back”, he said.
“This is advice to Ministers, their deputies, Chief Executive Officers of State institutions, who are reluctant to even campaign for the party because they claim they are always busy. Forgetting that it’s the party that has given them the various positions. They all sit in their comfort zone, and expect communications of the party to go into the villages, hinterlands to go and campaign. Don’t they also have families to take care of? These attitudes are driving away party members and they need to know that the party doesn’t belong to one person, but to everyone”, he added.
