The Ashanti regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has expressed his profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to individuals, groups,, electorates of Ejisu, NPP Executives at the national, regional and constituency and polling station level, traditional leaders and everyone, for their enormous support in ensuring that the NPP candidate, Lawyer Kwadwo Boateng won the Ejisu By-election.
He said the unconditional love and support shown to the party during the entire electoral process, is one that he can never forget as the regional chairman of the party.
“I salute everyone for their tireless effort and contribution for lifting the flag of NPP so high and ensuring a smooth victory, in a fiercely contested by-election. The journey wasn’t an easy one but with the support of everyone, we were able to sail through and as the regional chairman, I would like to say a very big thanks to everyone who contributed to this. NPP is grateful”, Chairman Wontumi told movementtvonline.
Kwabena Boateng, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP), clinched victory in the Ejisu by-election.
Mr Boateng secured 27, 782 representing 55.8% of the total votes cast while Mr Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, an Independent Candidate, garnered 21, 534, representing 43.3% of the total votes cast.
The race was fiercely contested, notably between Kwabena Aduomi, a former three-time NPP Member of Parliament for the constituency, who contested as an Independent Candidate.
