Sports Minister Recognizes Black Loopers’ Medal-Winning Efforts

On Tuesday, April 7, 2024, the Ghanaian table tennis team, the Black Loopers, visited the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, to present their recently won medals. The team achieved great success at the West Africa Regional Championship in Togo, with the ladies’ team winning silver and the men’s team winning bronze. Additionally, Joanita Borteye and Celia Baah Danso secured bronze medals in the women’s singles event.

The President of the Ghana Table Tennis Association, Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry and the Sports Minister for their support. He emphasized the importance of continued support as the team prepares to compete in the Paris Olympic 2024 qualifying tournament in Kigali.

The Sports Minister, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, congratulated the Black Loopers on their impressive achievement and pledged to provide the necessary support for their upcoming tournament.
