The Member of Parliament(MP) for Okaikwei Central, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, has warned Ghanaians not to consider the opposition NDC as an option because they will regret just within a year if they do so.
Speaking on the current inflation rate which is at 30% now, he stated that it’s not peculiar to Ghana only, but as food prices begin to reduce, the inflation will also reduce but not as the Government’s target due to the global economic crisis.
According to him, although Ghana is faced with a global economic crisis, the NPP remains the best choice. “This is not a time for trial and error because if that happens we will regret within just a year that power was handed over to the NDC”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show.
His comment comes at the back of the finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta’s expectation to present the 2022 Mid-year budget review at 10AM on Monday, July 25, 2022.
He disclosed that Ghanaians shouldn’t expect any policy that will add up to the sufferings of Ghanaians “the finance Minister will not introduce any burden policy- he will stay within the budget and work to improve the livelihood of Ghanaians”.
“Government will soon start the YouStart initiative to support entrepreneurs in a bid to create more job opportunities for the youth and this wouldn’t be affected by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Bailout”, he added.
“We should let Ghanaians know that it’s bent but not broken, we are on course and ready to work”, he stressed.
