The Municipal Chief Executive of Ashaiman, Albert Okyere has emphatically stated that it was during the tenure of the Akufo-Addo led administration that Ashaiman roads have been asphalted.
He explains that although not all the roads within the municipality are in good shape, the NPP led government has done more than it inherited from the erstwhile Mahama ‘s administration.
“Our road network in Ashaiman was nothing good to write home about, when NPP took over in 2017. The route from Timber Market to Adjei Kojo underbridge was the only road the erstwhile Mahama’s administration decided to construct. However, after the first phase of the project, it was halted. Ashaiman is enjoying asphalt roads for the first time in history, under Akufo-Addo’s administration”, he said in an exclusive interview on Movement TV.
“We’ve worked on the Jericho road, Tulagu roads, Ashaiman Middle East. Ashaiman roads are not in the best of shape. However, it’s better than what we inherited”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.
