Why Would You Vote For A Candidate Who Prioritizes ‘Honeymoon’ Over Needs Of The Country- Patrick Asomaning

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team, Patrick Asomaning Darkwa Obeng, has boldly declared that the party’s achievements in various sectors of the economy far surpass those of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“We have outperformed the NDC in every sector, including health, roads, education, and more”, he said in an interview on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.

Danquah criticized former President John Mahama, the NDC’s flagbearer, for prioritizing a “honeymoon” over accountability to Ghanaians.

“Mahama is no longer accountable to the people; he’s on pension and should focus on his grandchildren,” he said, implying that Mahama is out of touch with the needs of the country.

Danquah highlighted the NPP’s restoration of teacher and nursing training allowances, which Mahama had opposed. “Mahama boldly told Ghanaians that he would gladly go to opposition if restoring these allowances was an option. Well, we’ve restored them, and he should stay in opposition,” Danquah said, emphasizing the NPP’s commitment to supporting the education and healthcare sectors.

He also noted that during the tenure of Mahama’s running mate as education Minister, schools lacked basic resources like chalk.

“It’s unconscionable that under their watch, schools couldn’t even get chalk, a basic necessity for teaching and learning,” Danquah said.

Danquah emphasized that over one million youths, born under the NPP’s free maternal healthcare policy and benefiting from free SHS and teacher/nursing trainee allowances, have registered to vote.

“These young people are the beneficiaries of our policies, and they’ll show their appreciation for the NPP government and Dr. Bawumia by voting for us. The signal is strong, and we’re confident of a resounding victory,” he concluded.
