Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu has called upon members of the creative arts industry to throw their unflinching support behind NDC’s perennial flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
At a meeting called by the NDC’s flagbearer aimed at seeking views to incorporate in the party’s manifesto for the 2024 elections, Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu urged her colleagues to support and campaign for John Mahama since they will be given cars at the expense of the Ghanaian taxpayers.
“It was under President Mahama that members of the creative arts industry enjoyed. It was when he came to office that we felt good and that those of us who didn’t have cars were given some without paying a dime” Mercy Asiedu stated.
“Creative arts industry people, let us support President Mahama so that we can enjoy once again if he comes back to power” she stated further in a video that has since gone viral.
A section of Ghanaians have expressed shock over these revelations that when Mahama was in power, the taxpayers monies were dissipated in a manner that brought no benefits to the citizenry.
“So it was indeed true that some people were given free cars when Mahama was in power at our expenses?” an angry young man asked in a comment under the video on TikTok.
“So this woman is saying that we should go and queu and vote for John Mahama so that he can waste our taxes on Mercy Asiedu and these two-by-four filmmakers by buying them cars? It will never happen!” another Tiktoker thundered.
“Is this how our taxes were wasted by John Mahama? And he wants us to vote for him again to continue buying cars for these people? I have changed my mind about him! I am not voting for him! Never!” another person indicated.
What remains an obvious fact is that, the likes of Mercy Asiedu, Kwaku Manu and Ola Michael have intensified their campaign for Mahama’s comeback so that John Mahama would distribute cars for them free of charge.
