I’m Sometimes Uncomfortable With The Dresses I Wear – Piesie Esther Admits

Ghanaian gospel artist Piesie Esther has opened up about occasionally feeling uncomfortable with the outfits she wears, despite her commitment to presenting herself in a way that honors God.

In an interview on Accra FM, she acknowledged that, while it is important for her to look presentable and fashionable, there have been times when she has felt uneasy about her clothing choices.

She emphasized that God appreciates beauty and that it is essential for believers to look their best.

However, the singer admitted that in the rush to prepare for events, she sometimes selects outfits without proper consideration, only to realize her discomfort when she arrives at the venue.

In such situations, she reveals that her conscience judges her and she is left thinking of the perception her audience have created in their minds.

Piesie Esther also addressed the broader topic of appearance and its relation to faith, responding to recent criticisms from Prophet Oduro, who claimed that some gospel musicians have lost touch with their spiritual roots by competing with worldly fashion trends.

She defended the use of makeup, eyelashes, and wigs, stating that these are merely tools for enhancing one’s appearance and do not conflict with religious values.

“God does not oppose it. It is good to look flashy, but don’t overdo it,” she advised.
