A Photographer from Abeka addressed as Love, has reported a case of an alleged soldier refusing to refund an amount of Gh6,000 to her, after failing to enroll her son into the military.
On Wednesday 3rd August 2022, Love joined Counsellor Lutterodt and Maame Dufie on Wontumi Nka Wasem with their host of panelist to elaborate on her plight. The photographer lamented that her friend known as Bright, introduced her to a soldier called Asamoah with the motive of assisting her fulfil her son’s dream of becoming a soldier. In the course of her narration, she stated Asamoah demanded a sum of Gh12,000 in order to enroll him.
Love noted she first made a payment of Gh4,000 in the beginning of the month and later added Gh2,000 all in the presence of Bright as a sign of witness. According to her, she ignorantly took the risk out of desperation due to marital issues and also with high hopes of getting her son a good future so he can take care of the family when he becomes financially stable.
According to Love, she presented her case before the Wontumi Nka Wasem team because Asamoah has failed to refund her money after several attempts to reach him has proven futile after a year.
