A former deputy Minister for food and agriculture and a former Member of Parliament(MP) for New Edubiase, Hon. George Oduro, has advised Ghanaians never to take power from the ruling government and hand it over to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV, the advisor to the Agriculture minister, said that “I’m advising Ghanaians to be cautious about the trend in the fourth Republic where the NDC takes power only to destroy socio-economic gains chalked up by the NPP and if they get power in 2024, all the successes chalked in the agricultural sector will be destroyed because they lack knowledge within that sector”.
“Never change the ruling party because the alternative has no knowledge about agriculture and there will be a lot we will lose if we change the ruling government”, he added.
He reiterated the commitment of the government to improve the lives of farmers in the country through the modernization of the country’s agricultural sector.
The former deputy minister says government’s interventions in the agricultural sector through pragmatic policies will not be politicized, stressing that every single Ghanaian who deserves to benefit will have his or her fair share.
