The Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has emphasized that Ghanaians have confidence in Bawumia due to his instrumental role in implementing initiatives that have improved lives.
Speaking exclusively on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio with Kwaku Dawuro, Chairman Wontumi highlighted Bawumia’s innovative use of drone technology, which has saved lives and facilitated critical services.
Unlike other countries where drones are used for conflict, Ghana has leveraged them for beneficial purposes, such as delivering exam materials to BECE candidates during the Ashanti region floods.
Wontumi also addressed former President Mahama’s claims that the NPP would discard Bawumia after using him.
“We’ve disgraced him. NPP dominated by Akan voted massively for Dr. Bawumia to elect him as a flagbearer. We don’t discriminate as a party”, he said.
He emphasized that the NPP looks beyond physical appearances and values Bawumia’s contributions, including his support for Mahama’s administration. This, Wontumi noted, earned Bawumia support from across the country, including the Akan communities.
