Every Constitution is Subject to Interpretation- Kingsley Adumatta Agyapong

Kingsley Adumatta Agyapong, popularly known as Wofa K, has emphasized that every constitution is open to interpretation.

As the NPP chairman in the United Kingdom, he explained that Ghana’s national constitution outlines the framework for the country’s governance, including the roles of parliamentarians, the speaker, the President, Vice President, judiciary, and Chief Justice.

Agyapong highlighted the Supreme Court’s critical role in interpreting the national constitution, rather than simply declaring judgments.

He noted that various lawyers are involved in interpreting the constitution, demonstrating the complexity and nuance of constitutional law.

In addition to his thoughts on constitutional interpretation, Agyapong advised the NPP to focus on the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy and Credit Scoring policy as key campaign targets.

He credited the Free SHS policy, introduced in 2020, with significantly improving Ghana’s education sector and benefiting numerous students in secondary institutions.
