American streamer and social media influencer Adin Ross has come out as one of the big winners in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, securing a $1.6 million payout after betting on Donald Trump to win.
Adin Ross disclosed on his social media accounts that he had placed a $1 million wager on the Republican candidate ahead of Election Day.
The victory follows Trump’s successful bid for the presidency, defeating incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris.
This marks a historical moment as Trump, at 78, becomes the oldest person elected President of the United States.
Just weeks before the election, Ross hosted Trump in a widely viewed live-streaming session, where he publicly endorsed the former president.
Ross’s bet and subsequent win have drawn widespread attention on social media, with fans and followers reacting to both his gamble and its impressive outcome.
Ross has risen to global fame in the last decade through his online streams on Twitch, before he was permanently banned from the platform in 2023. He now fronts up Kick, with him one of the platforms most viewed stars.
In August, he visited Trump at his Floridian resort Mar-a-Lago where he went live on Kick with the former The Apprentice frontman.
During the visit, Trump was gifted a Tesla Cybertruck wrapped in a now iconic photograph of the 45th POTUS seconds after the attempted assassination attempt on him in July. Ross also handed Trump a Rolex watch, to top it all off.
Reacting to the Cybertruck, Trump referenced Tesla CEO Elon Musk, saying: “Wow. That’s an Elon. That is beautiful. I think it’s incredible.”
On the bet from the 2024 election result, Ross took to X (formerly Twitter) where he revealed he had made $660,000 profit on the $1 million bet, which is roughly £513,000.
