The Member of Parliament for Achiase constituency, Hon. Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, has publicly criticized Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, stating that the government has spent more on him than any other Speaker of Parliament in Ghana’s history.
In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement TV/Wontumi Radio, Hon. Ahenkorah Marfo accused Speaker Bagbin of attempting to create a curfew and promote himself.
He expressed disappointment in Bagbin’s perceived lack of gratitude towards the country, despite the significant investments made in him.
Hon. Ahenkorah Marfo emphasized that Speaker Bagbin should have instructed minority leaders not to occupy their seats, demonstrating his discontent with Bagbin’s leadership.
Additionally, he revealed that the New Patriotic Party’s absence from parliament was due to their engagement in office work, preventing them from attending Speaker Bagbin’s meeting.
As a member of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, Hon. Ahenkorah Marfo represents the Achiase Constituency in the Eastern Region on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party
