Several Wooden Structures Destroyed In Fire Outbreak At Agbogbloshie

A fierce fire has destroyed several wooden structures and their contents at Agbogbloshie in the Greater Accra Region.
The fire incident occurred at about 9:38 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), two fire pumps were dispatched from the Accra City and Circle Fire Stations, with the first arriving at the scene at 9:48 pm.
The fire had already engulfed several makeshift wooden structures and was spreading rapidly in all directions.
Despite challenging access to the fire’s seat, the tactical team brought the blaze under control at 12:54 am and fully extinguished it at 1:38 am on Monday.
Numerous wooden structures and their contents were destroyed, but firefighters successfully salvaged several adjoining structures.
GNFS has said no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
