Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North District, Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah, has urged Ghanaians not to blame the previous government for the “dumsor” (power outage) issues.
According to Hon. Adomako Mensah, there was no “dumsor” when President Akuffo Addo and the NPP handed over power to President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC.
The MP made these comments during an interview on Movement TV/Wontumi Radio’s “Movement in the Morning” show, with Kwaku Dawuro.
He explained that the Ministry of Energy typically holds meetings between October and November to plan for the following year’s maintenance schedule. However, issues with the West Africa Gas company’s maintenance schedule affected the gas supply, leading to power outages.
Hon. Adomako emphasized that the government’s responsibility to buy fuel was not the primary cause of the issue.
