The Greater Accra regional Director of research and elections for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ebenezer Doku, has said that there’s not even a single road in the country’s capital that hasn’t benefited from the numerous road projects by the ruling government.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, he said that “I don’t have any shred of doubt that the party is working for the people of Ghana. We are doing what we are supposed to do as a party- we are bringing development and progress to the country. There’s not even a single place here in Greater Accra where we’ve not constructed roads and Governance is about development and not what we saw under Mahama’s era where the roads existed only in green books”.
Adding that during Mahama’s era “there were COCOBOD road contracts which were awarded and paid but 1km out of maybe 32km were not constructed and that’s not what we are seeing under President Akufo- Addo. People are enjoying what we are doing but it’s unfortunate that the outbreak of COVID-19 brought everything to a standstill. A country growing at an average of 7 % from 3.4 % which we inherited from John Dramani Mahama tells that we are doing so well”.
“Who in this country complained of hardship going into the 2020 elections. Even the US is crying and saying it’s likely it will go into recession. We are not doing that bad even in the midst of difficulties and I know that we will get out of it”, he concluded.
