Music duo DopeNation has taken a long-awaited jab at Kuami Eugene following his recent departure from the Lynx Entertainment record label.
This comes after a statement Kuami Eugene made four years ago when DopeNation exited the label.
At the time, Kuami Eugene expressed relief over their exit, saying it meant more resources for himself and label mate KiDi. He was quoted in an interview with Joy News, “I’m glad that now, what we shared among four boys will now be shared among two boys. They can take the exit.”
Though DopeNation did not publicly respond at the time, the twin artistes have now found their voice.
Taking to social media, they cheekily reminded Kuami Eugene of his past comments, further wishing him success in overcoming what some fans refer to as the “Lynx Curse”—a belief that artists who leave the label struggle to maintain their careers.
Kuami Eugene has yet to address the remarks, which have sparked varied reactions on social media.
A letter to an old friend. Kuami Eugene in an interview after DopeNation’s exit from Lynx Entertainment said this. He has also parted ways with Lynx Entertainment and DopeNation are reminding him of his statement😂 pic.twitter.com/tVeRP9zxmJ
