Nsoatreman FC, Asante Kotoko Players Charged By GFA

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged players from both Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko following their unsporting behaviour during their Matchday 19 clash at Nana Kronmansah Park on Sunday.

Six Nsoatreman FC players—Stephen Diyou (who was sent off after a brawl), Frank Dongballe, Abdul Rahaman Mohammed, Walid Neymar Fuseini, Mohammed Issaka, and Eric Osei Bonsu—have been charged under Section 12(1)(j) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, for misconduct and unsporting actions.

For Asante Kotoko, Justice Blay, Mohammed Camara, Gilbani O’Neil Ndongani Samba, and Andres Ntim Manu are facing similar charges.

Blay and Camara received red cards for their roles in the incident, while Samba and Manu are also under investigation for their behaviour during the altercation.

The players have until Wednesday, February 5, 2025, to respond to the charges.

The GFA is expected to take decisive steps to uphold the integrity of the league and prevent future misconduct.
