Men In Uniform Allegedly Raid Ken Ofori-Atta’s Home

A group of individuals in military and police uniforms have reportedly raided the residence of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Cantonments.

Reports indicate that Mr. Ofori-Atta is currently in the United States for medical attention. However, his wife and other relatives were present at the time of the raid.

Eyewitnesses claim the group consisted of about 12 individuals—five in military uniforms, one in a police uniform, and the rest in plain clothes.

Former government spokesperson for Administration and Security, Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, confirmed the raid in a post on X, stating that his inquiries had verified the incident.

Condemning the act, he emphasized that former appointees served the nation in good faith and questioned who authorized such actions.

“Must we be scared and worried that after serving diligently the people of Ghana, one is not safe even in their home and country of birth?” he asked.

“I hope and pray that the media, civil society organizations, the diplomatic community, and ECOWAS are watching Ghana,” he added.
