Reusing Fry Oil Causes Hypertension- Doctor Advises (VIDEO)

A doctor at the Noble Trust Hospital, Dr George Donkor, has revealed that reusing fry oil can cause hypertension.

His comment comes after Daily Graphic’s recent report of 35% of adult hypertensive.

Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, Dr Donkor stated hypertension has become a leading silent killer.

He said that ‘’hypertension is a silent killer; you will not notice it at the early stage until a doctor detects. The heart pumps blood for the body, and  if it goes beyond a particular range, it becomes hypertensive. It should not exceed 120 when you check your blood pressure. If the needed blood does not go into your kidney, lungs, and other vital organs your health becomes at risk.  If you sweat profusely, or your heart beats at a faster rate, and if you have been diagnosed of high cholesterol you must see your doctor immediately”.

”Our human activities are stressful, we must frequently visit the hospital for early detection of hypertension and other killer diseases. Hypertension is curable because its mostly due to lifestyle changes, so if you take care of your health and diet you can cure it, however,  it becomes an emergency situation when your kidney or heart becomes damaged, that is where its becomes difficult to manage. Changing your lifestyle is very crucial-when you exercise or eat well you can cure it. A lot of people reuse fry oil. When the oil produces heat beyond 180 degrees, it generates free radicals and that coils fat in the human body. Reusing fry oil  causes  hypertension”, he stated.

Dr Donkor added that hypertension kills 17.9 million people yearly.
