A communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kafui Amegah, has expressed shock over recent comments made by former President Mahama.
According to him, he doesn’t even know what at all does the former President seeks to achieve apart from his bid for a re-election- hence, the reason for the recent utterances.
He spoke on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
“He has no good intentions for the country, nor has he ever thought good for the country. For me, when it comes to Galamsey, we are always grateful to NANA ADDO for getting the will power and boldness to instruct the Attorney General that prosecution must go on when it comes to Aisha Huang in order to eliminate this menace to bring peace.”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.
“Go to the rural communities and look at the number of children that have fallen into Galamsey pits and lost their lives. Is that the country we want to live in? Is that the country Mahama is telling us that he will allow the galamseyer to continue depleting our land? Is that how wicked he is? He’s a flip-flopper. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about- because the things he’s been saying and doing are just below the belt”, he added.
Stressing that “Is it not the same President who stood in front of world leaders in the UK and said that Ghana’s economic woes is caused by COVID-19? So, what changed? I asked myself if he reads the speeches whenever they write it for him because it’s just surprising”.
