A Clean Ghana Agenda; Zoomlion Commends Gov’t For It’s Tremendous Effort

Sanitation service provider, Zoomlion has commended government for what it describes as it’s tremendous effort in ensuring Ghana is clean.

Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV, the Chief Cooperates Communications Officer of Jospong Group of Companies, Mrs. Sophia Kudjordji told kwaku Dawuro that in a bid to ensure that the country moves from just the collection of waste materials to ensure our environments are clean, it has supported Zoomlion to turn these wastes into useful materials including compose for farmers.

“There are other service providers who are playing similar roles in cleaning our environment. However, there are times the citizenry makes the job difficult, by constantly engulfing the environment with filth when they know it’s not right to do so. This isn’t something one ought to be told but the narrative is different here in Ghana. Recently a woman was arrested for thirty days for going against the sanitation bye laws and this is something we don’t have the power to do, hence will also need the government to help”.

She further commended government for employing the sanitation guards who are sensitizing the citizenry on the need to keep our environment clean, and also enforce the sanitation byelaws.

“The Greater Accra regional Minister has been doing so well especially with the operation clean your frontage initiative. There are a lot we are doing with government, and I believe with the cooperation of Ghanaians, Ghana will be better”, she concluded.
