A member of the New Patriotic Party’s communication team, Efua Selby, has cautioned Ghanaians ahead of the upcoming election.
Speaking during an interview on Movement TV with Kwaku Dawuro, Selby cautioned that voting for former President John Mahama would be a “revenge vote” motivated by a desire for retaliation rather than progress.
Selby believes that Mahama’s intention is not to serve the nation but to settle scores with those who rejected him in the 2016 election.
She argued that Mahama’s lack of future political ambitions means he will not prioritize the needs of Ghanaians if elected, but instead focus on personal interests.
Selby shared personal experiences of hardship during Mahama’s presidency, including the collapse of her cold store business due to frequent power outages during the “Dumsor” era.
She described Mahama’s promises as “myopic” implying that he lacks vision.
Selby urged Ghanaians to be vigilant and protect the peace and development they are currently enjoying under the current government. She emphasized the need to prioritize progress over revenge and to elect leaders who will put the nation’s interests first.
