Former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma central constituency, Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey, has defined the MP for Dome-Kwabenya, Honorable Adwoa Safo’s attitude towards ministerial work as very disappointing.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Nii Nartey described the negative attitude of Honorable Adwoa Safo for the past few years towards her ministerial work as disappointing, and hence advised the Government to go ahead with the decision of removing her from office.
He stated that ” To be honest and sincere with you, Adwoa is a very good friend of mine and honestly i am so disappointed in her, with the attitudes she puts up. Because i don’t know what exactly the problem is and whatever the problem is, i think within two or three years is enough for us to resolve this issue, because a whole ministry for almost two years has been lying idle. Go to the ministry now, donors that help gender have reversed all their money back because there is no minister there to facilitate some of these things for them.
So you have caused this problem at the ministry, and when it comes to parliamentary duty and responsibility you don’t perform so what at all is the issue that you cannot let go. I have spoken to a lot of people who are very prominent and respectable people who claim to have spoken to her. I am reliably informed that the President has spoken to her, the Chief of Staff, which prominent person hasn’t spoken to her, yet still she puts up this attitude. Few days ago i heard her constituency secretary say it will be difficult to sell a nomination form to Adwoa Safo and when you do that, you don’t only embarrass yourself but the people around you develop hatred for you.”
He further noted that ”Let’s assume we don’t get anyone from minority to support us, that means we have lost the motion. Many people are attributing Alban Bagin’s win and everything going on in parliament to you, that you voted against Michael Quaye because of your personal differences. So for me i was totally against the decision of removing her from office, but from the way things are going i think that it is better we do that.”
