The National Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Yaw Buabeng Asamoa, has said that the NPP government has transformed the economy of Ghana compared to National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) eight years in power.
Speaking on Movement TV, he said ,“when the NPP government assumed power, the system was deteriorated through embezzled debt. The party designed measures that revived the economy after NDC’s eight years of destroying it”.
He added that the NDC led government under former President Mahama’s administration took Ghana back to the International Monitory Fund (IMF) after ex- president Kufuor’s effort to build the country’s economy beyond aid.
He stressed that President Akufo-Addo has invested more than €400 million in the Technical And Vocational Training Education to provide young people with skills and promote entrepreneurship. Adding that $171 million financial returns was also made from the year of return in the tourism sector whilst policies such as the free SHS, were put in place to keep young people in school, especially girls.
‘’The vision of the NPP is to create continuous growth in the economy and Ghanaians must not give NDC the chance to collapse the developmental works of the NPP government’’, he stated.
He admonished party members and executives to ensure they play their various roles to the benefit of Ghanaians to retain power in 2024.
“Government is a continuous process, we must not stop”, he added
