An international geologist from Cape Town, has commended fully Ghanaian owned AkosDwomo mining company ltd., for the huge lithium discovered in Essiam.
“We are moving in a direction of renewable energies and renewable energy is batteries- and lithium is a great producer of batteries. AkosDwomo mining Ghana ltd is on the right track with its lithium exploration agenda. This is an opportunity that we wouldn’t want to miss out on.
Emphasizing on the benefit for every investor that comes on board for the lithium exploration, he noted that investors that miss out on such an opportunity, have missed out an opportunity to be part of the next gold rush in Africa and of lithium.
“AkosDwomo mining company Limited’s lithium exploration project ongoing in Ghana has a great potential of being a shape shifter and move our continent as Africa. We are moving in the correct direction as a continent, and to be the leaders of lithium providers…” he said.
He made this known when he joined a host of other geologists from Canada, South Africa, Ghana and officials from the Minerals Investment Income Fund (MIIF), led by the Chief Technical Officer, head of operations, Kwabena Biney on a site visit to the site where AkosDwomo is prospecting for the lithium exploration in Essiam locality of the Ajumako Enyan-Esiam District of the Central Region of Ghana.
On his part, the head of operations for the Minerals Investment Income Fund, Mr. Kwabena Biney, disclosed that his outfit is interested in exploring opportunities where MIIF could serve as a co-investor and see to the development of some of these assets.
“There are quite a number of critical minerals Ghana has been blessed with and one of them is lithium. As one of the key elements of government’s green transformation agenda, we have so much interest in this. Being the foremost investment arm of the government, specifically looking at the mining value chain, we believe there’s a good reason to be present here at Essiam. This forms part of the technical due diligence we are conducts and from all indications, we would like to come in at a point, to help with the full realization of this project…” Mr. Biney categorically told Movement TV.
