The Member of Parliament for Tano North, and Minister of State for the Ministry of Works and Housing, Honourable Freda Prempeh has refused assertions by the NDC and Mahama that the current administration is running a bloated government.
According to her, aside from two of the recently approved ministers, the rest double as Members of Parliament and as such, they are not going to receive double salaries. But, the NDC has created an impression in the eyes of Ghanaians as though these ministers were going to receive double salaries and as such, the reason they didn’t want to approve them.
She stressed that this is the first time in the history of Ghana that President Akufo-Addo never appointed deputy regional ministers- which is a clear indication that President Akufo-Addo had drastically reduced its size of government despite the fact that six new regions had been created in addition to the ten regions the country had.
She spoke to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio in Accra.
