Alan Kyeremanten Resigns From NPP Again, Set To Contest 2024 Elections As An Independent Candidate

Former Trades and Industry Minister Alan Kojo Kyerematen has resigned from the New Patriotic Party.

Speaking during a press conference to announce, he disclosed that he will be contesting the 2024 general elections as an independent candidate.

This comes after he had earlier announced his decision to withdraw from the NPP Presidential primaries, in a statement dated September 5, 2023, in which he catalogued a number of incidents he said occasioned the party’s Super Delegates Conference.

“Under the circumstances and given the context provided, I wish to use this platform to resign from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). I wish to announce that I will contest for the high office of the President of the republic of Ghana in the 2024 elections, as an independent candidate. To actualize this goal, I will establish a new movement for change in Ghana…the brand logo for the movement is the monarch butterfly which symbolizes change and positivity. The new movement will be led and powered by the youth of Ghana”, he announced.
