The ‘dailyghanaianguide’ is a print and online news outlet established by the Alan Kyerematen for President campaign team to promote a certain narrative and to counter the authentic Daily Guide newspaper which they believe is doing government bidding. One would think that a platform like this would be used favourably to promote Alan Kyerematen’s candidature and the NPP government activities.
A scrutiny of the print and online news outlets of the ‘dailyghanaianguide’ reveals a rather diabolical intention on the part of the Alan Kyerematen Campaign team to deliberately discredit the NPP government and Vice President while promoting the Alan Kyerematen brand.
These news outlets are run by Nana Ohene Ntow, a senior aide to Alan Kyerematen, and Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, Alan Kyerematen’s spokesman. Its editors include Barima Sarpong, Communications Manager at NHIS and a media aide to Alan Kyerematen, and Emmanuel Dua of Accra Fm, who is also a media aide to Alan Kyerematen.
Interestingly, at a time when the government is working hard to turn the economy around, Alan Kyerematen abandoned the government to pursue his Presidential ambition, as well as engaging in anti-party activities through his utterances and media outlets to undermine the collective interest of the party and government for his benefit.
What may motivate the Alan Kyerematen Campaign team to establish a media platform dedicated to opposing, attacking, defaming, and discrediting the NPP government and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia? It is not shocking that Alan Kyerematen was caught on video indicating that the NPP may not have a campaign message for the 2024 elections owing to the Akufo Addo government’s poor economic management.
Mr Alan Kyerematen appears to want to sink the NPP government to pursue his dream of becoming President of Ghana, especially now that he has resigned from the government and has instantly distanced and talked down the very government he served as a Trade and Industry Minister, Member of the Economic Management Team, and Chairman of the Economic Committee of Cabinet for 6 years.
