Deputy Ashanti regional organizer for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Atta Sarpong has said that all Presidential aspirants for the party are competent to lead NPP into victory.
According to him, the Presidential aspirants are very good personalities, and the delegates are aware of that.
The ten aspirants are Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Joe Ghartey, Kwadwo Poku, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, Francis Addai-Nimo, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Dr. Boakye Agyarko and Mahamudu Bawumia,
“The competition for the position of flagbearer has become keener than expected and any of these personalities, can drive the party’s quest to break the eight-year political jinx in the country”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.
“I’m happy all aspirants trusted and found no problem with the process for the balloting…This is what help brings unity among party supporters…However, I will advise delegates to vote against any aspirant that speaks against the Akufo-Addo led government…The government is bound to make mistake but as people who were part of the government, it was expected that they would help the government correct such mistakes rather than using it for their campaign”, he said.
He noted that all ten aspirants contesting for the flagbearership race will campaign with Nana Addo’s legacy.
