One of Ghana’s Legendary gospel artists Obaapa Christy, has advised Ghanaians to eschew descending on people who go in for body enhancement such as liposuction and tummy tuck.
Speaking in an interview on Movement with Shatta Michy on Friday August 19, 2022, ‘the Glory’ hitmaker highlighted on female gospel artists and people who opt for body enhancement to be allowed to do so without being reprimanded. She asserted that she believes people who go under knife to attain the perfect body have various reasons for taking that step hence, people should respect their decision and desist from lambasting them.
”I don’t want to sound judgmental. You know blacks can conclude and make it look like they’ve passed judgement when they have no idea the purpose or reason for which the person did it. I don’t live by that principle because at the end of the day, we have people who spoke against it but have now enhanced their bodies so you don’t have to talk about it- just leave it. Everyone has their right and even God who created us has given us our right so let’s leave anyone who wants to thread on that path. If it’s good for the person, fine,” she said.
