Are You Now A “Mortuary Man”? Lecturer Questions Special Prosecutor Over Sir John’s Will

Are You Now A "Mortuary Man"? Lecturer Questions Special Prosecutor

Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng should be working as a “mortuary man” rather than staying in office as Special Prosecutor, Dr. Kwarteng Forkuo has opined.

The University lecturer claims Mr. Agyebeng is spending more time and chasing frivolous cases when he could have made a big statement by pursing landmark cases.

Dr. Forkuo stated on Wontumi TV that for Ghana’s Special Prosecutor to show interest in the will the late Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka Sir John left behind, shows he is not prepared to work to benefit the living but rather, the dead.

“He (Agyebeng) should rather be working at Komfo Anokye and not at the Office of Special Prosecutor. He should be working as mortuary man because instead of investigating the living, he is focusing on the dead”, Dr. Forkuo said.

The office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), on June 3rd, 2022 froze the assets of the late Sir John, who was the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forestry Commission, in their quest to continue investigations into what was termed as an unlawful acquisition of state lands.

The action taken by the Special Prosecutor is said to affect all assets stated in the last Will of Sir John.
