Ghana’s 100m record holder, Benjamin Azamati, finished 4th on his Wanda Diamond League debut in Oslo on Thursday evening.
The US-based student-athlete ran a time of 10.15 seconds to cross the finish line behind Andre De Grasse of Canada, Reece Prescod of the Great Britain and Akane Simbine of South Africa.
De Grasse won the race in a time of 10.05 seconds while Prescod (10.06 seconds) and Simbine (10.09 seconds) grabbed second and third places respectively.
The race was part of Azamati’s preparations for the World Athletics Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
