Bagbin Is Playing Politics With The Anti- LGBTQ Bill – Hon. Osei Bonsu Amoah

Acting Minister of state at the Ministry of local government and former Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Osei Bonsu Amoah, has noted that the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin is playing politics with the Anti-LGBTQ bill.

The Anti- LGBTQ bill, which was approved by Parliament on the 28th of February, had been a topic of discussion to Ghanaians. It was introduced to set limit to the right of LGBTQ+.

The former legislator blamed the majority members of the august house, for electing an opposition member as Speaker of the house.

“The Speaker is playing politics, and the majority members must be blamed. This is because they were many than the minority, so what happened…How come Bagbin had more votes than the NPP candidate. This is a clear indication that some members on the side of the majority, snitched and voted for Bagbin. They are the cause of what is currently happening in Parliament”., he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.

He noted that this should serve as a lesson to the majority members of the house. They should ensure that they never repeat such a mistake.

“He claims to be neutral yet, turns to support the opposition whenever there’s an issue”, he added.
