The difference between Vice President Bawumia and former President John Mahama is that when the former speaks, it provokes thoughts unlike the latter who is an expert in lies, a respected university lecturer has said.
Mr. Ishaq Kyei Brobbey in an interview on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, stated that Ghanaians have gradually come to know Mr. Mahama as someone who speaks without “facts”.
His comments comes on the back of a final admission by Mr. Mahama that the effect of COVID 19 together with the Russia’s invasion in Ukraine, has stunted the growth of economies across the world after he had denied the fact here in Ghana.
Speaking at the 24th Africa Business Conference organised by Havard Business School, Mr. Mahama finally admitted that COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine was has adversely affected global economies, especially that of African countries.
Prior to this, Mr. Mahama denied the crisis had affected the economy of Ghana.
But Mr. Brobbey warned that “No one should put premium on what Mahama said, he was unable to add any factual claims to his arguments.”
He added that Mr. Mahama is not branding himself well because he speaks without facts.
He also replayed the words of former President John Mahama to him reminding him that he once told a gathering that he had to lie to Ghanaians because he is a politician.
When it comes to picking a future leader for Ghana, Mr. Ishaq Brobbey underscored that “When you put the two together, I don’t think Ghanaians would make that mistake of choosing Mahama.”
“This is man who says you have to lie as a politician so I consider his speech as lies”, he reminded the 2020 flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress.
He concluded by noting that the difference between Mahama and Bawumia is that between the two, when Bawumia speaks, it provokes thoughts.…
