Morning show host on Movement TV, Kwaku Dawuro, has emphatically stated that former President Mahama comes nowhere closer to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as far as the Presidential contest is concerned.
He noted that unlike John Dramani Mahama who has been fingered in a lot of corruption scandals, not even a single corruption case has Dr. Bawumia been labeled with.
“Flagbearers of the two major political parties, have assumed the role of Vice President in Ghana before and the contest and argument should be based on what they were able to do during their respective tenures”, he said.
He cited an Akan proverb that transcribes, “If you give a wise man a cutlass, he will definitely weed with it in order to bring benefit, but when you give a fool a cutlass, he commits murder with it”.
“When Dr. Bawumia was sent by his Boss, President Akufo-Addo to China, he returned with the Sinohydro deal. It is for the Sinohydro deal that in the history of Ghana, Tamale now has an interchange. Alot of road constructions in the Ashanti region, and across other parts of the country is as a result of the deal. It is for the same visit that today Ghana has the Integrated Aluminum company which is a game changer for the economy. There’s not even a single corruption that emerged from those deals”, he said.
“Meanwhile, when John Mahama was sent to South Africa by Prof Mills, he failed to secure the STX housing deal and Ghana lost millions of dollars too. We are all aware of what happened when he was sent to buy an airplane for the state”, he added.
He stressed that the ball is in the court of Ghanaians, to decide whom to vote for in the upcoming general election.
