Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, has been tipped by Nana Obiri Boahen to become Secretary-General for the United Nation (UN).
The former deputy Secretary-General for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), disclosed on Wontumi TV that he sees the Vice President becoming Ghana’s President in the future; then after, UN’s Secretary-General.
Nana Obiri Boahen cited the story of U Thant, a Burmese and the first non-Scandinavian to hold the position as Secretary-General of UN as one that would influence Dr. Bawumia to rise higher.
He added that the economy of Ghana has been ‘Bawumized’ through the digitalization agenda of the Vice President making him a candidate to be considered for the future position of a UN Secretary-General.
