The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of the public Sector Reforms, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo has cautioned political appointees against causing financial loss to the state.
“Once your actions and inactions cause financial loss to the state you will definitely not be spared. I’m, therefore entreating all NPP government appointees not to fall prey to infractions that could land them in trouble”, he said.
Mr. Kusi Boafo was reacting to Hon. Ato Forson’s case at the Accra High Court for causing financial loss to the state in the procurement of ambulances for the country, on Movement in the Morning show hosted by Kwaku Dawuro on Movement television and Wontumi Radio in Accra.
According to him, Ato Forson used state funds to purchase ambulances which were not fit for purpose, costing the nation about 2.7 million Euros.
He noted that the government will pursue the case to its logical conclusion, and whatever verdict that comes from the court would be fully administered.
