A presidential staffer, Alexander Martey has urged supporters of Presidential aspirants for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to be circumspect with the kind of utterances as they campaign.
He expressed disappointment over certain utterances made by some Presidential aspirants, who are tarnishing the image of the current government which they were a part of.
“How do you speak evil about a government you were part of. Forgetting it’s the same party you want to lead that has produced the government- doing all sort of things to bring the government for their parochial interest”, he lamented.
He noted that they shouldn’t forget that whatever this government will do is what will make the party attractive to other and will therefore encourage them to vote again for the NPP in the 2024 elections.
“We are all working for one goal which is to win elections 2024 and therefore saying all sort of things against the government is very bad”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement TV.
Stressing that supporters of Presidential aspirants should be circumspect in certain utterances they make whiles they campaign.
“This is an internal contest within one family, and we must ensure that it’s a healthy contest. Because, at the end of the contest it’sMa just one person who will emerge victorious. So, what if your candidate doesn’t win…how would you go back to campaign for whoever that emerges victorious, after saying all sort of things against him”, he cautioned.
