NPP Communications Director, New Juaben South constituency, Eugene Nana Yaw Brempong, has emphasized the need for Ghana to move beyond its current policies and political dynamics, which he believes are hindering the country’s progress.
Brempen specifically criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for constantly attacking the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) without offering any substantial alternative policies. He pointed out that the NDC has been vocal in their opposition to the free Senior High School (SHS) program, teacher and nursing allowances, but they haven’t presented any solid policies of their own to address the country’s educational and healthcare challenges
In an interview on the popular morning show “Movement in the Morning, he accused the NDC of labeling anyone who speaks out against them as defaming their party.
“This I believe is a tactic to silence dissenting voices and stifle constructive debate. It is for this reason that I’m urging Ghanaians to move beyond the partisan politics and appreciate the positive policies implemented by the NPP, such as the free SHS program, which has increased access to education for many Ghanaian students”, he said.
He emphasized the need for citizens to be fair and recognize the efforts of the NPP government, while also holding them accountable for their actions. He called for a focus on constructive dialogue and policy development, rather than constant criticism and political point-scoring. By working together and engaging in meaningful discussions, Brempong believes that Ghana can overcome its challenges and achieve greater prosperity for all its citizens.
