The relevance of Chairman Wontumi is being felt at Assin North as testimonies upon testimonies are pouring in about him as he joins national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to campaign for Mr. Charles Opoku.
In one of the visits the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NPP embarked on, an elder of the town was captured speaking fondly of him.
“The people in NDC are scared of Chairman Wontumi so they are always accusing him of being a thug but he isn’t a thug. He speaks the truth and so he isn’t afraid of anybody”, the man said.
A lady’s voice could be heard in the background saying that “because he is blind, he is always indoors listening to his radio”.
Things are still getting heated at Assin North as the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) together with Charles Opoku are leaving no stone unturned in their campaign.
Chairman Wontumi as the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman is affectionately called has challenged the constituents of Assin North to give their vote to Charles Opoku.
A viral video captures him dancing and announcing to the crowd to support the NPP’s parliamentary candidate.
“Who should you vote for? If I say this is Charles, you have to respond that this is the elephant”, he said to a charged gathering.
