The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) former constituency Chairman for New Juaben north, Kojo Boateng Agyemang, has said if NPP goes in opposition it will solely be the fault of party members.
He said this on Movement In The Morning Show with Kwaku Dawuro on Thursday, 21 July 2022.
He said, ‘’if we come together, we will be able to achieve the vision for 2024- there is no way we can’t break the 8. If NPP goes in opposition today, party members should be blamed because they are the subset of Ghanaians. They are looking up to us and if there’s disunity in the party, it will be difficult for them to give their power to us’’.
If we are to compare what the NPP has done for the last 6 years to what governments in other African countries have done, they are nowhere close to what this government have been able to achieve. There might be one or two shortfalls but that even helps us to plan for the future.
He went on to say that this is not the time to talk about internal party process, rather the party should come together with their uniqueness and strength to break the 8, adding that the NPP is the only political party that can manage resources.
