The NPP’s second vice chairperson in the Bono region, Nana Yaa Amponsah Agyare, has confidently declared that the region is solidly behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP government.
She credits the massive development projects undertaken by the current government, which have transformed the region.
According to Nana Yaa, the education sector has seen significant improvements, with schools receiving upgraded infrastructure and learning materials.
The cocoa producer price has also been doubled, a major boom for farmers in the region. Additionally, the implementation of the DRIP project has given major roads a much-needed facelift.
One of the most notable achievements, Nana Yaa highlights, is the completion of the Bono Airport project, which was initiated by the Kufuor government but stalled under the NDC. The NPP government, under Akufo-Addo, has seen it through to completion.
It’s clear that the Bono region has experienced tangible growth and development under the NPP government, and Nana Yaa’s endorsement of Dr. Bawumia reflects the region’s appreciation for these efforts.
