Communication team member for the New Patriotic Party, Suleman Abubakar, affectionately called Lakulaku, has advised the government to focus on working on the Grassroots and polling stations, to be able to break the 8 by winning the next election in December 2024.
Speaking in an interview on Movement In The Morning, with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Lakulaku was strongly of the view that government should channel more attention to the grassroots and polling stations, who serve as the basis for the political movement. According to him the party can attain another four year term if such action is taken.
He noted that ”The NDC does not have anyone to bring on board to contest unless Mahama, that is why i say when we talk about him it makes him think we are scared of him, but no we are not scared of him because we have competed against him and won before on two occasions with someone they claim is an old man. Now we have a young man who will win against him again, so this is not an issue so i don’t want to waste my energy on that. Rather, what i would like to use my energy to talk about is that we stand a good chance to win the election, but as a party i would plead with the elders to start work on the grassroots and focus on the polling stations.”
