Breaking The 8 Is A Matter Of Track Record Of Mahama Vs Track Record of President Akuffo Addo- Alhaji Yusif Fofana

Government’s spokes person on social services, Alhaji Yusif Fofana, says the New Patriotic Party will achieve their “breaking the 8′ goal with ease.

Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Mr Fofana reiterated that the NPP will break the 8 hands down, by winning the next elections in 2024. He stated that the NPP government under the leadership of President Akuffo Addo have sedulously put in hard work, in relation to the improvement and sustainability of the lives of Ghanaians.

According to him ”Finance minister said he will make sure dollar reduces to gh10 by the close of the year which tells you we are on track, and also makes it evident to the IMF. You know at that time Brent institution stated that the strategy with which we have used to manage our dollar cedi rate has never been heard of, for dollar to rise to Gh17 and drop to Gh10, is unprecedented in the anal history of Ghana. When dollar rises there is no way it can fall, so it tells you that we are on the path to breaking the 8.

Last but not the least, this year’s election is not going to be about who can do this or that, rather we will go to every constituency and localise our campaign. We will use NDC’s almost 30years of our 66years of independence of ruling. We will let them show us what their plans are for Ghana to take off for Ghanaians to see, i wont say John Mahama but their 30years of ruling, and compare it with only Nana Addo’s era. If you add Kufuor’s tenure, it would seem like we are cheating them, so what is going to happen will be a matter of track record of John Mahama and the track record of NPP under his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo.”
