Breaking-The-8 Requires Collective Effort, Stop The Shades- Ernest Frimpong To Alan Kyeremanten

A Communication team member of the new Patriotic Party (NPP) Ernest Frimpong has stated that breaking the eight-year jinx by the NPP requires a collective role and unity.

It’s against the background of some utterance made by the outgoing Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kojo Kyeremanten following his resignation.

According to Mr. Frimpong, Alan Kyeremanten as a former cabinet minister, shouldn’t have made certain statement although he has Presidential ambitions- noting that there’s no way he could break the eight alone and as such, he should ensure that he doesn’t speak ill of the government he was part for, because he wants to become the next flagbearer of the party.

He spoke on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.

“Alan Kyerematan has taken himself out from the party. The former trade minister was nowhere to be found when prices of goods were skyrocketing. Ghanaians had suffered a lot in the hands of traders for some months now and the trade minister couldn’t do anything about it- he never made any move to regularize the prices. Hitherto, President Akufo-Addo has given him the privilege to serve for six years”, he told Kwaku Dawuro

Adding that “I don’t have any interest in who is coming to lead the party for now. However, I was expecting that the contest will be competitive and lively for those of us behind could observe quietly and enjoy the process from behind”.
