A New Patriotic Party (NPP) volunteer group, loyal ladies, has pledged to mobilize its over 20,000 members across Ghana to enable the party to achieve its ‘breaking the eight’ target.
The group noted their intention to campaign massively and to ensure the party’s vision of breaking the eight year jinx is realized in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on the upcoming games competition by the all ladies group, which forms part of campaign activities to win election 2024, a commander of the group, Nana Akua Ofosua, explained that the aim of the group is to build the interest of ladies into active politics, and also to campaign and support the NPP to continue to stay in power.
Jessica Yalley, a member of the group added that ”breaking the eight is possible- looking at what the party has been able to do within 6 years in power is marvelous. She said the group believed that it was only the NPP that could run the affairs of the country with its youth-centered policies like the Free SHS, National Entrepreneurship Innovation Program (NEIP) likewise the infrastructure, roads and many other developmental projects. We have the capacity and we are doing it hence the reason why we have begun the campaign so early- we wouldn’t wait till 2024. The party needs our prayers. We are on course”.
Nana Akua Ofosua advised Ghanaian youth to keep their hopes alive because the NPP is implementing measures and policies geared towards making life comfortable for the ordinary Ghanaian and therefore breaking the eight is a necessity for the party to continue with what it has begun.
