Breaking-The-Eight Requires Competence And That Competent Person Is Dr. Bawumia- Adams Sabo

Greater Accra regional director of communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Adams Sabo has said that if the party wants to win the 2024 elections, then there’s the need to present a competent candidate as flagbearer.

He notes that breaking-the-eight-year jinx is not a walk in the park, and for such a vision to materialize, it requires competence and good track records on the side of whatever candidate the party presents.

“We need a candidate who can boldly defend and convince Ghanaians, on why the NPP needs to be voted into power. Someone with a clean sheet, whom the opposition cannot say anything bad about. You could just imagine what would happen, if a debate is held between Dr. Bawumia and Mahama on who is competent and capable of leading the country into prosperity. There’s no way, Mahama could win defeat Dr. Bawumia in such a debate. They are to defend themselves using their track records as Vice Presidents and not promises”, he furthered.

He spoke on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.

He added that there have been no Vice President in Ghana who is more popular than Dr. Bawumia.

Mr. Sabo challenged anybody to provide at least two policies which Mahama introduced during his tenure as Vice President, that improved the socio-economic life of Ghanaians.

“But then, look at the numerous benefits Ghanaians have had from Dr. Bawumia, even as a Vice President. Imagine what he would do when he becomes President…I’m supporting Bawumia not because I’m an NPP, but for the betterment of the country. Any member of NPP who could say Bawumia is not the best to lead the party, is either a wizard/witch who doesn’t want the progress of the party”, he said.
