The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially approved the competition calendar for 2025, including the date for the highly anticipated draw of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The committee convened on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco, ahead of the CAF awards ceremony.
Among the key decisions, the committee confirmed that the final draw for the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will take place on January 27, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco.
Additionally, CAF reinforced Morocco’s growing role as a host nation by awarding it the hosting rights for the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations for both 2025 and 2026, highlighting the country’s significance in youth football development.
